๐ MOFA V & MOFA VI (2026โ2027)
Following the success of MOFA IV, MOFA V and MOFA VI are planned to further expand water and sanitation services across additional districts in Rwanda.
Key Features:
- Expansion of water supply networks to underserved regions
- Implementation of sustainable sanitation solutions
- Community engagement and capacity building programs
- Integration with national water management strategies
These phases are expected to be completed by 2027, continuing the successful collaboration between WaterAid Japan, MOFA Japan, and local Rwandan authorities.
Planning Stage
๐งช Chlorine Processing Plant
A new initiative is in the early planning phase for the construction of a state-of-the-art Chlorine Processing Plant in Rwanda.
Project Objectives:
- Ensure reliable supply of high-quality chlorine for water treatment
- Reduce dependency on imported water treatment chemicals
- Enhance Rwanda's capacity to maintain safe drinking water standards
- Support national public health initiatives
This facility will play a crucial role in supporting water treatment efforts across the country, ensuring consistent access to safe drinking water while promoting local production capabilities.
