About Kirehe Branch
The Kirehe Branch of Ayateke Star Company Ltd serves as the company’s flagship office, delivering reliable and comprehensive water supply and sanitation (WSS) services throughout Kirehe District. As a central hub of operations, the branch is responsible for managing the district’s water distribution systems, maintaining infrastructure, and providing responsive and high-quality customer service to the communities it serves. Ayateke Star Company Ltd manages WSS services in 12 sectors of Kirehe District: Gatore, Kirehe, Kigina, Kigarama, Nyamugari, Mahama, Nyarubuye, Mushikiri, Mpanga, Nasho, Gahara, and Musaza. These sectors encompass a wide geographic area and represent a significant portion of the district’s population. The branch serves an estimated population of over 300,000 residents, ensuring equitable access to clean water and sanitation services across both urban centers and remote communities.
The branch oversees the operation of 32 water supply systems throughout the district. These systems are powered through a mix of technologies: 12 use electricity, 2 rely on diesel, and 16 operate by gravity. While no systems are fully solar-powered, two diesel-powered systems—Nyagashankara and Kahene—are supported with solar energy, enhancing their efficiency and sustainability. This diversified approach allows the branch to adapt to local terrain and energy availability, ensuring consistent and efficient water delivery. Infrastructure maintenance is a key priority for the Kirehe Branch. The team conducts regular inspections and repairs of pipelines, reservoirs, and related facilities to keep the systems in optimal working condition. This proactive approach helps prevent service disruptions and supports the long-term sustainability of water infrastructure.
Customer support is another core function of the branch. The Kirehe team is dedicated to addressing client inquiries, resolving service-related issues, and providing clear communication regarding water usage and billing. Staff members are trained and equipped to respond swiftly to emergencies, ensuring that any disruptions in service are managed quickly and effectively. Through its commitment to operational excellence, infrastructure reliability, and customer satisfaction, the Kirehe Branch plays a vital role in advancing Ayateke Star Company Ltd’s mission to provide safe and accessible water services to all residents of Kirehe District.
