Launch of Sanitation and Supply Project in Kirehe and Bugesera Districts

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the official launch of a major infrastructure project took place in Kirehe District, marking the beginning of construction for water supply systems and sanitation facilities in both Kirehe and Bugesera Districts. The project is a collaborative effort between WaterAid Rwanda, the Water and Sanitation Corporation (WASAC), and the local district authorities, with funding provided by WaterAid Japan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) of Japan under Phase IV of their development support. Ayateke Star Company Ltd has been contracted to execute the construction works. This initiative aims to significantly improve access to clean water and sanitation, contributing to better health and quality of life for communities in the targeted areas.
