AYATEKE STAR COMPANY LTD is a Private Company with a core business in the Sector of Water Supply and Energy. It was officially registered with "RWANDA DEVELOPMENT BOARD (RDB)" on 09 August 2013 with Company Code No 103058183.

Since 2010, Rural water supply systems are managed by Private Operators under a Public Private Partnership Agreement (PPP), and District WASH Boards overseeing the management. In that spirit, the former REGIE D'EAU in KIREHE District came to be changed to Ayateke Star Company Ltd with the aim of expanding activities to various areas in Rwanda and East Africa.

Ayateke Star Company Ltd has been managing water supply systems in rural areas of Rwanda as a private operator since 2014. The company currently employs 164 people on a permanent basis, including managers, engineers, financiers, technicians, and support staff. It carries out water supply system construction, operation, and maintenance activities in 22 districts of Rwanda.

Currently, Ayateke Star Company Ltd is managing water supply systems in Kirehe and Gatsibo Districts of the Eastern Province. It also manages the Mahama Water Treatment Plant to provide water services to more than 68,000 refugees in MAHAMA CAMP located in Eastern Province of Rwanda under the Contract with UNHCR.
